Timestamps and Resolutions

All Alphractal metrics are stored with precise blockchain timestamps and standardised resolutions to ensure consistency across data layers.
Each data point is associated with the closing time of its interval — meaning a “daily” value represents the metric as of the end of that UTC day.

Available resolutions:

  • 1h – intraday insights (used for exchanges, derivatives, funding, and short-term volatility)

  • 4h – ideal for mid-term on-chain and sentiment movement

  • 1d (daily) – standard resolution for most on-chain, macro, and performance metrics

  • 7d (weekly) – used for smoothed indicators and long-term trends

Formula (Latex Function format)

Metrict=f(Data, Resolution, Timestamp)Metric_{t} = f(Data,\, Resolution,\, Timestamp)Metrict=f(Data,Resolution,Timestamp)

where Resolution defines the time aggregation applied (mean, median, or close) and Timestamp marks the end of the period in UTC.

This approach ensures that all data remains synchronised across modules, enabling correlation analysis between on-chain, derivatives, sentiment, and macroeconomic datasets.
