Measures network vitality by comparing active coin movement to long-term dormant supply.

Overview
The AVIV Ratio evaluates how “alive” a blockchain’s supply is, contrasting active circulation versus long-term held coins.
The AVIV Z-Score adjusts this relationship to identify statistically significant deviations from historical norms.

Interpretation

  • 📈 High AVIV Ratio → increased market activity and spending.

  • 📉 Low AVIV Ratio → higher dormancy, indicating accumulation or reduced liquidity.
